In China, you will need to validate the assignment transfer by requesting for record of the assignment to the China Trade Marks Registry. The assignment will only be effective upon the approval and publication by the China Trade Marks Registry.

The documents required for the assignment of trademark in China are as follows:

• Copy of the assignee's Business Registration Certificate
• Copy of the Trademark Certifcate
• The assignee's name and address
• The date of assignment
• The power of attorney duly signed by the assignee (to be provided by us)
• Application form for trademark assignment duly signed by the assignor and assignee

Please note that partial assignment of right is not allowed in China and that China Trademark Office will only process the recordal of assignment but not the assignment documents.
